Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
The short version
- Everything you type, paste or open in a WidePit tool is processed in your browser. It is not uploaded to our servers.
- There are no accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email or any personal details to use the tools.
- We do not sell your data.
Your tool input and files
Text, JSON, tokens, lists, dates, numbers, images and PDF files that you enter or select stay on your device. The tools calculate results using your browser, and the input is gone when you close or refresh the page. We cannot see it and we do not store it. Files you download are created in your browser and saved to your device.
Information collected when you visit
Our website is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Analytics
We do not currently run third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site.
Cookies and local storage
WidePit itself does not set cookies. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser local storage on your device so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie in some cases, for example to protect the site from automated abuse. You can clear local storage and cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Email you send us
If you write to support@widepit.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, and we keep it for as long as needed for that purpose. Please do not send passwords, tokens or sensitive documents.
Third-party links
Some pages link to official sources and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Children
WidePit is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because the tools do not collect or keep your input, there is very little personal data for us to hold. Depending on where you live, laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU GDPR may give you rights to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email us at the address above and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but since your tool input never leaves your browser, the main privacy risk of a typical online tool does not apply here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example if we add a new service. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and significant changes will be noted on this page.
